Whether you're an ambitious freshman or an outgoing senior wanting to attend a conference or workshop, Rec Sports is providing you the opportunity to explore and develop your leadership and career potential.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Applicant must be a current UM Rec Sports student employee who has completed the probationary period and has permanent hours.
• Applicant must be a registered UM student.
• Travel or other incidental expenses (such as food, parking, lodging, etc.) are not eligible for scholarship funding.
• Scholarship allocation will be considered only for successfully completed training activities.
• Proof of completion or proof of attendance
• Original receipts for all expenses eligible for reimbursement must be submitted along with the application.

Step 1: Obtain and complete the Applicant Information Form

Step 2: Compose a Personal Statement of Intent on how the workshop or conference will help in achieving professional development goals.

• Complete the applicant section
• Return the form to your supervisor to be completed and submitted to final review.

Step 4: Provide a copy of your UM transcript.

In order to be considered for a scholarship applications must be complete. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis and will be reviewed on the 15th of every month.  Applicants are encouraged to submit their application as soon as they are aware of the conference or workshop and all applications must be submitted a minimum of one month prior to the event.
