DR. SCHEDULER PLATINUM EDITION

Dr. Scheduler is our flagship product, and may be the first software suite available from the University of Michigan Department of Recreational Sports (UMDRS). Dr. Scheduler is a software suite for scheduling and managing sport leagues (e.g. intramural sports). Also a part of the Dr. Scheduler software suite is Dr. Scheduler Scanner, a hand-held solution for roster and participation tracking.

We very much were hoping to have a product release this summer. While the timeline was realistic, we very quickly became buried with other projects this summer, and unfortunately the final buffing and polishing to Dr. Scheduler was not completed.

We have used Dr. Scheduler since the spring of 2004 for our intramural sports. The spring and summer terms went quite smoothly and we looked forward to pushing the software to its limits during the fall semester. We got off to a pretty rocky start in the fall semester when a major glitch was overlooked, and we had to patch the software with about 50 people waiting in line to be registered. That one major incident aside, the fall semester went by very smoothly.

We currently are offering an open call for beta testers. We currently are reviewing the details of the beta agreement. There may be a fee involved, but those willing to test our software within their environments will be offered the final release at a very reduced charge or, perhaps, for no additional charge. We expect to be able to offer the full services of Dr. Scheduler Scanner, as well, to our beta testers. As soon as we finalize the details of the beta agreement, we will post them here.

If you are interested in using our product, please feel free to contact us any time. You can reach us by e-mail at dr.scheduler@umich.edu (or recsports@umich.edu). When sending us e-mail, please be sure to place the product name in the subject. We get several hundred e-mails a day, and your e-mail may be deleted inadvertently if your subject line is not clear in its intent.
