1. What is the GO! Program?
GO! is a part of Outdoor Adventures designed specifically for groups
looking to set up a trip or clinic exclusively for their members. Unlike pre-planned
Outdoor Adventures trips, these trips go where you want to go, when you want to go.
2. Where do GO! trips go, exactly?
The quick answer: wherever YOU want them to. In the past, we've gone rock
climbing at Grand Ledge, whitewater rafting on the
New and Gauley Rivers, and dogsledding in the Upper
Penninsula. If you have a specific trip in mind, we'll
handle all of the logistics so all you have to do is
enjoy the trip.
3. Who can set up a GO! trip?
Like the rest of Outdoor Adventures, GO! is open to the
students, faculty and staff,
and alumni of U of
M, as well as the general public. We'll be happy to set up a trip for any
group, whether its as organized as a university department, or just a group of
friends.
4. How much do GO! Trips cost?
The price varies greatly depending on the type of trip, and the number of people
going. In general, the more people and closer the destination, the less
expensive the trip will be. For some of our trips, the prices are determined
by the contractors we use. (i.e., ACE Rafting or Chocpaw Expeditions). For specific pricing
for all of our trips,

5. No one in my group has outdoor experience, is that ok?
Yes! We'll be happy to help set up a trip for your group that will not only make
everyone feel comfortable in the outdoors, but
demonstrate the basics they'll need to know to start going on their own trips! And, all GO! participants receive a 25% discount in the OA
Rental Center. So even if you don't have a backpack, you can still go on an awesome backpacking trip!
