WHICH FACILITY IS CLOSEST?

One of the more frequently-asked questions, particularly from students on central campus, is "Which facility is the closest to me?" The answers may surprise you.

For students on the southwestern side of central campus, including those living in Barbour, Newberry, South Quad, and West Quad, the Intramural Sports Building is our facility that is closest to you. For students living in or near East Quad, the Intramural Sports Building and the Central Campus Recreation Building are about equidistant from you. For students on the northern side of central campus, including the hill dorms, the Central Campus Recreation Building is closest to you. Naturally, for those students living on north campus, the North Campus Recreation Building is closest to you.

All three of our primary facilities have bus stops that are a very convenient distance away.

  • The Intramural Sports Building has bus stops immediately outside of its main entrance which are serviced by the Commuter bus route.
  • The Central Campus Recreation Building is conveniently located very near the C.C. Little bus stop which is serviced by the Commuter, Bursley-Baits, and Northwood bus routes. The Central Campus Recreation Building also is very near the Northwood-route bus stop at Stockwell.
  • The North Campus Recreation Building is close to the Northwood-route bus stop on Hubbard Road just east of Murfin Avenue. The NCRB also is close to the Bursley-Baits-route bus stop just outside of Bursley.
