Frequently-Asked Questions for Tennis
Who can join?
Open to all, but the team primarily consists of Undergraduate and Graduate students.
Are there tryouts?
Yes, tryouts are early in the fall semester; contact the club president for more information.
What is the best way to join?
Come to the informational meetings (Dates will be posted on the website), or contact a club officer.
How often does your club compete?
Usually every weekend, although you are not required to be at all the matches.
Are there club dues?
Yes, there are dues each semester. Tryouts will cost $20 and court fees for the semester run around $100 - $150. Second semester dues are generally much less from fundraising done first semester. Each home match is $5 and away matches will vary with hotels and transportation costs.
Does the club provide the necessary equipment? Or do members need to bring their own?
Members use their own racquets and shoes (non-marking). The club provides balls and facilities.
