Frequently-Asked Questions for Kayak
Who can join?
Currently-enrolled students with valid M-Card, those with a Department of Recreational Sports membership and an M-Card or those that purchase a Club Sports Pass and have an M-Card.
Are there tryouts? If so, when are they?
There are no tryouts. Anyone can participate regardless of athletic ability.
What is the best way to join? (Show up at practice? Contact an officer? etc.)
The best way to join is to visit the website and submit a profile to the directory. Then dues can be paid via the Pay Now button that appears in your profile. If you are not sure about joining, then you can show up to a practice with your bathing suit and check us out before paying dues.
How often does your club compete? (if at all)
We have no formal competitions.
Are there club dues? If so, how much does it cost to join?
Yes, club dues are $10/semester.
Does the club provide the necessary equipment? Or do members need to bring their own?
We provide the necessary equipment or you can bring your own.
