Frequently-Asked Questions for Rugby - Women

Who can join?

According to the Michigan Rugby Union, only undergrads are allowed to participate legally. There is, however, an ann arbor city team at http://www.annarborwomensrugby.com/ that allows Michigan graduate students to participate.

Are there tryouts? If so, when are they?

There are no tryouts, although there are rookie clinics in the fall and winter. Check our website for more details.

What is the best way to join?

Contact an officer (it's on the website) and then show up to practice.

How often does your club compete?

In the fall we compete nearly every Saturday in the winter we compete once a month in tournaments.

Are there club dues?

Yes, normally around $100 for the season.

Does the club provide the necessary equipment? Or do members need to bring their own?

We provide everything but cleats, mouthguards, and practice jerseys.
